DESCRIPTION

Hanene Ghazghazi proposes to contribute to this call through her expertise in the valorization of food-based plant species and Mediterranean natural resources. Her work focuses on the transformation of perishable products (e.g., extraction of essential oils, production of functional foods such as jams and plant-based derivatives) using sustainable, small-scale, and locally adapted processes. Within Topic 1.3.1, she seeks collaboration with partners specialized in agro-processing, food technology, and rural entrepreneurship to develop innovative on-site transformation systems that reduce post-harvest losses and enhance product quality. For Topic 2.3.1, she proposes to collaborate with experts in digital technologies to integrate traceability tools into value chains of plant-based products, ensuring transparency, quality control, and better market access for local producers. This collaboration aims to strengthen Mediterranean food value chains by combining sustainable processing methods with digital innovation, while promoting the economic valorization of underutilized plant species.
