The Italian National Research Council (CNR) is a public organization of great relevance in the field of scientific and technological research. The IPCB derives from the needs of coordinating skills and knowledge on the chemistry and technology of polymeric materials, composites and biomaterials, with a vision oriented to European research developments. Research activities are split into one of three main topics: - Innovative materials - Health and nano medicine - Sustainability

1) Extraction of Biopolymers, using both solvent extraction and greener and more sustainable technologies

2) Preparation and the characterization of self-standing Bioactive Films for application in food packaging

3) Preparation and characterization of Edible Coating
