The Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) is a Research Center, resulting from the restructuring of the High Commission for Research, created on March 22, 1988. It is a Public Scientific and Technological Establishment (EPST) targeting for developing and implementing scientific and technological research and development programs for energy systems using solar, wind, geothermal and heat energy. biomass energy. The CDER as a scientific center actively participates in the national research and technological development program defined by the five-year orientation and program law on scientific research and technological development. The national projects selected in this program are oriented towards economic and societal priorities to meet the main strategic needs for economic development.

Contribute to set and develop solution for Rehabilitating the treated wastewater following a Tertiary treatment process (Bypass repartition: Natural Aerobic Pre-treatment), through a solar still process at TRL 7 , to be installed at the final stage of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), in desert area of Ghardaia region Algeria. The objective consists in recovering about 25000 m3/day, of semi-treated waste water, which is currently rejected in the valley, then make a final treatment process for adapting it to the irrigation of specific plants.
