SEMIDE is an institutional network of Water Authorities among the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership countries. SEMIDE has being translating EU Water Frame Directive principles and the EU Water Initiative lessons as well as European water innovation practices to the southern Mediterranean countries. The Technical Unit of SEMIDE has 3 major shareholders from Spain, France and Italy. These members extend the expertise of SEMIDE core staff, on Natural Water Retention Measures/NBS, water infrastructures, Integrated Water Resources Management, agriculture, water-food-energy-ecosystems nexus, and biodiversity. SEMIDE can coordinate communication, dissemination and exploitation activities and create synergies with other initiatives and projects across the Euro-Mediterranean area. We have been involved in 4 PRIMA funded Projects (Water Management & Farming Systems) and several Horizon projects.

SEMIDE has also a wide network in the Euro-med countries and can bring demosites or partners from south med countries. SEMIDE is interested to join a consortium for a Nexus proposal, we have a demo site from the south of France interested on multisectoral water allocation mechanism using a digital twin to support participatory decision-making (Hydropower, interbasin transfers, agriculture, natural ecosystems, drinking water).
