Our laboratory could take care of the preparation, bioactivity testing and nanoformulation of extracts

I am a member of a research team of the Applied Biochemistry Research Laboratory, University of Béjaia. Our work is oriented towards the valorization of bioactive compounds of plant origin by exploiting renewable resources and using innovative and environmentally friendly extraction methods. Our goal is to use natural preservatives of plant origin as preservatives or food colorings.

Algeria by its mild climate is sunny and particularly favorable to the cultivation of medicinal plants rich in antioxidant. The plants extracts have exhibited a powerful antibacterials potentiel and can increase the stability and preservation of food products.

Given the long-term effect that chemical preservatives can have, I think it is urgent to think about replacing them with natural molecules. These preservatives can act as antimicrobials. This project will have a definite economic impact.
