Open field or greenhouse sustainable farming system

The University of Messina, Italy, has a long-term involvement in different research programs both at national and international level. The Plant production unit of the Department of Veterinary Sciences, to which we belong, provides worldwide research leadership in the subjects of field and greenhouse plant production with a specific focus on the transition to healthy and sustainable farming system in the Mediterranean area.
The mission is to foster the adoption of profitable, environmentally sound, and socially responsive agricultural systems through tailored agronomic practices and resilient strategies to reduce agriculture impact

Looking for a consortium to contribute to the Topic 2.2.1 (RIA) “A step toward carbon-neutral farms: coupling renewable energy sources with circular farming systems”, providing expertise in field or greenhouse experimental trials with improved, environmentally sounds practices and product quality. Our vision mainly focus on resource use efficiency, crop production, low-input agronomic practices to reduce environmental pollution/impact.
