New eco-friendly-sustainable antimicrobial compound in sustainable agriculture to ensure pre/post harvest protection

Alfa-CM S.r.l. is an Italian SME that developed a new eco-sustainable antimicrobial compound (A.MI.CO) to combat bacterial and fungal pathogens in plants .It is a polymer which, after exerting its antibacterial and antifungal activity, degrades avoiding polluting the soil and surface water.
It can be used in the plant sector for the protection of pre-harvest crops and, for the post-harvest phase, to reduce waste by improving shelf-life by reducing the use of traditional pesticides.
The specific areas of application can be:
a) reduction of plant product waste along the supply chain
b) increase in the shelf life of some products
c) reduction of the use of compounds harmful to the environment and health.

We are looking for partners in both agriculture and the food processing industry as well as research institutes, willing to cooperate with us in order to pursue a new direction to defeat bacterial and fungal pathogens in plants and cut down the use of traditional pesticides. Our antimicrobial compound (A.MI.CO) is eco-friendly-sustainable, not causing damage to the soil and it is water-soluble. Suitable even for farming activities ie to treat mastitis.
It can be used in the plant sector for the protection of pre-harvest crops and, for the post-harvest phase, to reduce waste by improving shelf-life.
