Climate Action Now (CAN) is a nonprofit Jordanian environmental NGO that was established in 2013. Under the supervision of the Ministry of Environment. It is based in Amman, Jordan. Its activities cover all of Jordan. CAN was established as the first environmental organization focused primarily on climate action in Jordan. CAN has succeeded in promoting climate action, environmental protection, climate change education and solutions, and in serving as a bridge between the science, policy, and communities. CAN works to tackle climate change by bringing forth major societal changes through establishing and building partnerships between business, government, and public bodies to shift towards a sustainable society. CAN creates models and works on climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental protection, WASH
development, and policy/social norms shifting for ensuring sustainability. CAN builds the knowledge and capacity of relevant stakeholders for best practices.
