Sultan Moulay Slimane University (USMS) is a Moroccan public organism created within the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region as part of the decentralization of higher education under Royal Decree No. 21.06, of April 23, 2007, supplementing Dahir number 1.75. 398 of October 16, 1975, relating to the creation of universities. The USMS contains 12 Institutions among them our Polydiscipinary Faculty.

One of the main research activities of our laboratory “Lab of Biotechnology & Sustainable Development of Natural Resources-B2DRN” concentrates on applied research in the field of Plant agro-physiology, ecophysiology and grain-based cropping systems with focus on the use of agroecological practices for sustainable agriculture. The B2DRN’s research activity is carried out through laboratory, greenhouse and field experiments and we have the necessary facilities for fulfilling our objectives in the projects focusing on farming systems, Adaptation and mitigation to climate change and sustainable water management.
