National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) is considered as the scientific arm of the Ministry of Agriculture. NARC represents a national umbrella for applied agricultural research and consultations. NARC implemented various applied scientific research and studies in plant production, plant protection, animal production, veterinary medicine, climate change, irrigation and plant nutrient management, biotechnology, biodiversity, selection of species and strains, and diagnosis of plant and animal pests and diseases.

A partnership with a consortium developed from different Mediterranean countries. The leadership of the consortium from one of the European countries, and funding from EU. The interested topics are in water and plant nutrient management, restoring the degraded soils, and other soil water management issues. The primary goals are to enhance agricultural production and improve irrigation and plant nutrient management under harsh semi arid environments.
