The Center for Scientific and Technical Research on Arid Regions (C.R.S.T.R.A.)1,2 is a public establishment (E.P.S.T.) created by decree no. 91-478 of December 14, 1991, amended by decree no. executive decree no. 83-521 of September 10, 19833. The head office is located in Biskra.

Our missions:
The Center is responsible for carrying out scientific and technical research programs on arid regions and/or regions threatened by drought or desertification, as well as participation in multidisciplinary research relating to arid regions and the constitution of a scientific and techniques on arid regions and ensure the processing, conservation and dissemination

Looking to join a consortium as a partner or formulate a new project : I’m a forests specialist, and we work on the forest restoration, regenaration and protection (early detection of diseases in strategic Mediterranean woody species, forests fire, forest managment, sylviculture, Dendrometry, productivity.etc).
We propose our expertise as a partner for consortium research focusing on: – Sustainable development of agro-forestry in the Mediterranean Region under climate change; – promote new associations species with forest species like legumes; – forest conservation species under climate change.
Also interested in implementing projects against desertification and land degradation
So all the fields in relation with forests ; we offer our partner shipe as an expert, or to join a consortium or to build a new projects on the mentionned topics
