Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) is a public university founded in 1996. Teaching at the university commenced in the academic year 1997/1998. The university offers 34 MA and 112 BA programs and 184 Diploma programs. BAU comprises 12 faculties on its main campus in Al-Salt, and 12 university campuses across the kingdom. The university also oversees the 51 private and public community colleges in Jordan.
BAU focuses on providing quality applied technical education and research through inspirational teaching and world-class research.
