The team in the Laboratory of Geochemistry of the Surface Environment has high expertise in analytical and environmental assessment for water, sediments, and soils. We have laboratories in Bologna at the Department of Biological, Geological, and Environmental Sciences and in Ravenna at the Environmental Science Campus for sample storage and preparation as well as for analysis with several types of instrumentations (XRF, IC, FAAS, GFAAS, CHN, ICP-OES, ICP-MS) for solid and liquid matrices characterization. The Head of the laboratory is Enrico Dinelli, Full Professor of Geochemistry at the Bologna University, who will be supported in these PRIMA call by Nicolas Greggio (Junior assistant professor) and Simone Toller (Research fellow).
- Topic 2.1.1-2023 (RIA) New governance models to define best practices for sustainable water management and conflict mitigation.

We are available to participate as Partners in a project related to Water Management. We offer long time expertise on surface water, groundwater and sediment characterization and management including analytical and data interpretation skills. Thanks to analytical results and environmental data, we are able to assess the conditions of the water resource and identify the geological background, anthropic contributions or the pollution (organic and inorganic) of a site, thus bringing valid managing proposals.
