The University of Granada (UGR) channels funding to 365 research groups. It currently has 580 active research projects and 36 projects for the provision of scientific infrastructures from the National and Andalusian Research Plans, with a joint budget of more than 106 million euros. During the validity of the VII Framework Program, the UGR has obtained a total of 48 projects, with a total financing of 13.50 million euros. Relations with the business world are carried out through the Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI). The Scientific Instrumentation Center (CIC) offers various research support services, especially oriented towards experimental disciplines. Collaboration in the preparation of international projects, the search for resources and partners, is carried out through the Office of International Projects (OPI). In addition to the research work of the departments, the UGR has 16 research institutes, plus other seminars and specific research centers that focus their work on different areas of knowledge.
