Majority of the farmers who carry out agricultural activities in our region still use the flood irrigation systems. When these systems are used, they cause problems such as groundwater rise and soil salinization, which are very difficult to return. Considering that water resources are limited due to global warming in recent years and the population is increasing every year, the importance of effective use of water resources is increasing day by day.
Since the Southeastern Anatolia Region is one of the regions where the effects of high temperature and drought are felt most, effective irrigation water use, fertigation, protective tillage and direct sowing methods, suitable rotation systems, increasing soil fertility, adaptation of crops with low plant water consumption to the region and it is important to study issues such as the prevent erosion in sloping agricultural areas. We can cooperate on these issues.
