A Greek SME company based in Patras, Greece is looking for industrial companies and/or municipalities across the Mediterranean region, in order to adapt latest waste treatment technologies to convert their waste into a marketable asset, through PRIMA projects.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
The company is an engineering SME which started its business in 1989, exploiting its experience and expertise in environmental and waste water management technology. It is specialized in developing and providing solutions for industrial and environmental applications. Over the last 30 years, the company has expanded its activities throughout Greece, into several EU countries but also into the Middle-East region.
The company has completed many turn-key projects (design, construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance) in some of the largest industries in recent years using either the CAS system (Conventional Activated Sludge Method) or the MBR system (Membrane Bio Reactor). It has built large wastewater treatment plants in Greece and abroad using either conventional methods or MBR technology, including pre-treatment (sorting, balancing, solid wastewater treatment), secondary (biological) and tertiary (UV disinfection, chlorination, filtration) treatment . Additionally, it can offer complete solutions in the treatment of oil residues in order to recover usable hydrocarbons addressed in refinery units. With more than 160 environmental projects (installations) and 250 case studies, SIRMET S.A. has become one of the leaders in the waste water management and environmental applications in Greece.
SIRMET S.A. provides services to private and public sector clients, industries, waste management agencies, government agencies, local authorities, financial investors and institutions throughout Greece and Europe in sectors such as: (a) environment (wastewater and industrial waste treatment), (b) renewable energy sources (photovoltaic, clean energy production, biomass, production and use of biogas) and (c) industrial applications.
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
The PRIMA programme is an Art.185 initiative supported and funded under Horizon 2020, the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
