Research interests: application of “OMICS” to animal production.
In Italy There are many cattle local breed that are farmed in rural area, example Podolica, Marchigiana, Piedmontese etc. I’m interested in the study of these breeds using OMICS technologies to understand the complex network of genes that underpinned their adaptation to climate changes. These local breeds have an impact on enviromental, economic and social sustainability of rural area.
