Canopy Farms is looking for project partners to work on a sustainable 2000m2 greenhouse project. We are looking to launch a pilot seawater greenhouse facility that demonstrates our solar powered reverse osmosis seawater desalination technology to grow intensive crops along arid coast-land in the Mediterranean Area.
The project facility will consist of a 2000m2 greenhouse, 100kWp solar grid, 35 ton reverse osmosis desalination system, seawater climate control evaporation system and borehole for seawater/brackish water access.
If you are interested in partnering on this seawater agriculture greenhouse project please get in contact. We are looking for partners who can provide land for the greenhouse facility as well as labour for the day-to-day operations of the facility.
This project must be located by the coast as the desalination technology requires either seawater or brackish groundwater to operate successfully.
We believe that solar powered seawater desalination has a major role to play in sustainable greenhouse crop production.
We have the ability to part fund this project but would be looking to work alongside our partners to access either local grant funding or project financing to launch this project.

Canopy Farms is a sustainable greenhouse engineering firm based in the UK. We design and build greenhouse facilities that use solar powered reverse osmosis desalination of seawater to grow intensive crops in greenhouses. We use 100% seawater or brackish water, not fresh water to grow crops and use solar energy to power the facilities. The focus of our technology is to provide a solution to water and food insecurity in countries that face problems due to groundwater scarcity or climate change issues.
