The project can be applied in a rural area containing about 200 houses that are fed from a single water tank. the major goal of the project is to improve the efficiency of water usage (to prevent physical water lost ) and to ensure a good water quality. The technological challenge in this context is to develop a solution which provides timely accurate information and is economically viable

The National Engineering School of Tunis (ENIT), is one of the leading engineering schools in Tunisia. It is a founding member of CITEF (http://www.reseau-citef.org/). The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
