We offer our R&D expertise and partnership for PRIMA forthcoming calls.
We are a University of Pisa Spinoff company, highly specialized in the field of Precision Farming, data acquisition and elaboration of AI and DSS.
We also develop autonomous agroclimatic data acquisition stations.
Our cross-cutting expertise spans from field agriculture to urban green areas.
We have a significant R&D experience and a strong vocation for international cooperation in projects.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
Turf Europe is a Spinoff of the University of Pisa (University of Pisa owns 10% of the Company) and specializes in general Precision Farming (services and supplies) and in high-level agronomical consultancy, R&D and teaching.
Our work is based on the solid scientific background gained by our staff through years of study and research in the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the University of Pisa.
We serve all areas of (1) precision farming, (2) crop agriculture, (3) sod farming and (4) urban green areas (sports, ornamental, environmental). Our work involves also field test validation of private company’s products which are willing to be accredited by specialized centres.
Since 2018 we started the production and sales of our portable, autonomous and geolocalized weather station (Green-GO) for full acquisition and remote monitoring of agroclimatic data in farms and amenity areas. We also develop cloud-based software for agronomical data monitoring and dedicated crop-specific farm-logs.
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
The PRIMA programme is an Art.185 initiative supported and funded under Horizon 2020, the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
