Recovery of nutrients from waste water ( agroindustrial and manure…): Lurederra has previously worked in the development of an innovative and low-cost technology with the main objective of removing P from wastewater. This technology is based in precipitation methods and the use of by-products from the industrial production of magnesia as precipitant agent, giving rise to a range of nutrient precipitates suitable to be used for agricultural applications as bio-fertilizers.

Lurederra Technological Centre is a Spanish non-profit, private foundation which performs activities of Research & Technological Development on behalf of the industries and SMEs, followed by implementation of the innovations developed at their production sites. The main R&TD fields where Lurederra develops its activities are nanoparticles, functional composites and advanced-environment technologies. In addition, Lurederra has a vast expertise in coordination and participation (7/22) in European project proposals from FP7 to Horizon 2020.
This technology has been developed and tested in the framework of a LIFE project (http://remphos-life.es/en/home.html).
