We have a modern and technologically updated aquaponic system which built in 2017. This is the first aquaponic system in Turkey. The system has 15 ton fish tanks (3 tanks) and 60 m2 plant producing tanks (4 tanks in 2 floor). We have already produce lettuce, dill, parsley succesfully in the system with carp and tilapia. The system has a large scale research area which allows us to try different nutrients, flow rates etc.
The system has a drum filter, biofilter in sump, UV filter, pump and blowers.
We have been in collaboration with Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture.
All staffs are well experienced on Aquaponics and Hydroponics
