Partnership request for projects involving satellite data for monitoring soil moisture and water resources
Topic 1.1.1 (IA) Implementing sustainable, integrated management of water resources in the Mediterranean, under climate change conditions. Topic 2.1.1 (RIA) Low cost, lean solutions for enhancing irrigation efficiency of smallholder farmers
At Starlab space, we develop remote sensing technology, as a monitoring tool for irrigation and supporting low scale farmers. We have experience in Latin America and Sub Saharan Africa through previous projects and would like to contribute to innovative projects in the Mediterranean region.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
In Starlab space, we provide top-level technical consulting and value-added Earth Observation (EO) services, developing new applications and custom-made downstream products within the EO market.
Also, with services evaluating the space around properties , we empower customers with new capabilities by allowing easy access to complex data through the use of machine learning, data fusion techniques, creating novel applications based on satellite data.
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
The PRIMA programme is an Art.185 initiative supported and funded under Horizon 2020, the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
