We seek collaboration as a project partner in studies related to to the management of freshwater production, desalination and groundwater treatment and the management of poor quality water, wastewater treatment and adaptation to climate change.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
The Center for Scientific and Technical Research on Arid Regions '' Omar EL-BERNAOUI '' (C.R.S.T.R.A.) is a Public Establishment of a Scientific and Technical nature (E.P.S.T.). Created by decree N ° 91-478 of December 14th, 1991, modified and completed by the decree N ° 03-458 of December 1st, 2003 and governed by the executive decree n ° 11-396 of November 24th, 2011 fixing the standard statute of the public institution of a scientific and technological nature.
CRSTRA is responsible for
• Conduct scientific and technical research programs on arid regions and / or threatened with drought or desertification;
• Undertake and / or participate in any multidisciplinary research related to the Arid Regions;
• To establish a scientific and technical database on the Arid Regions and to ensure its treatment, conservation and dissemination;
• Participate in any research on understanding and addressing human vulnerability to environmental change.
Implementation of National Research Programs for the Development of Arid Regions in the fields of: Environment; Major Risks; Land Use Planning; Hydric Resources; Agriculture, Rural Development and Socioeconomic Development; Renewable Energies.
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
