DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
The IDetIC is a University Research Institute that belongs to the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC),with more than 10 years of experience. We have been nationally assessed by the Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Prospectiva ANEP (Spanish National Agency for Assessment and Foresight), obtaining the highest grade in both cases.
Our staff consists of researchers (in-house of the ULPGC and hired), trainees (Ph.D. students or undergraduates or postgraduates doing their thesis) and collaborators. Our research is supported by more than 400 publications in journals and international conferences, being the outcome of the participation in more than fifty research projects of different international and Spanish public institutions, and companies.
The IDeTIC is composed of the following Research Divisions: Division of Photonics Technology and Communications (DTFC), Division of Communications Engineering (DIC), Division of Digital Signal Processing (DPDS), Division of Emerging Technology Applied to Language and Literature, and Division of Networks and Telematics Services.
The catalog of the IDeTIC Technological and Scientific offer includes all products and services that are developed from the different Institute Divisions within the following areas: Safety and Security, Tourism and Leisure, Energy and Environment, Aeronautics and Space, Mobility and Transport, Health and welfare.
Through this catalog, the IDeTIC intends to make visible its strands of work, results and technology, demonstrating the potential of its researches as well as its strong relation and application in many aspects of real life.
It is essential to forge communication channels between the research community and businesses. Thus, this tool is meant to provide results and scientific developments in order to enable businesses to solve their industrial needs and encourage the development of new o improved products or services. This collection of business records seeks to be a tool for technological promotion that favors the communication between suppliers and purchaser of technology, in the furtherance of convergence in socio-economic interests and challenges.
