DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
State General Laboratory (SGL) is the official control and national reference laboratory for food contaminants (agricultural, environmental and processing). SGL carries out monitoring and surveillance to the whole production chain from the field or farm to the consumer's plate. The SGL is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety and authenticity of food produced locally as well as food exported and imported from third countries. Furthermore, the Risk Assessment Unit of SGL performs exposure assessment on several contaminats.
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
The PRIMA programme is an Art.185 initiative supported and funded under Horizon 2020, the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
