We intend to participate to an already established consortium or to collaborate to the creation of a new one in the framework of groundwater resources research and management
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
The Group of Research of the Geology Division of the University of Camerino started to study the hydrogeological systems of central Apennine since more than thirty years. More in particular the research is addressed to the study of fractured and porous aquifer systems in the Adriatic side of Central Italy by using traditional, hydrogeological and hydrogeomorphological approaches, quantitative analyses and numerical models. Following this objective, several research projects and agreements have been joined with public and private institutions at the local level which culminated in the participation as a partner, together with the Optimal Territorial Area Authority n.3 Marche Centro-Macerata (AATO3), in the European project "Networking for Drinking Water Supply in the Adriatic Region" (DRINKADRIA ) structured under the IPA Adriatic Cross-border Cooperation Programme.
As part of these studies, the research group has been collaborating with partners of the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and Ankara (Turkey) for years.
Following a list of the main projects of the University of Camerino financed in Europe
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
