Cards system – tool to evaluate the colaboration of design

Cards System, the design evaluation system developed, consists of a set of 24 cards, divided by 6 suits, where each card asks a question that leads to an answer and it goes on until completing the process. A process of cause and effect that allows to create a narrative that underlies what is believed and valued.
The card system also lets you map what you want to achieve, which helps you focus on the goal, detect and correct problems, and contextualize design collaboration.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
Redesign local is the result of a Ph.D held at the Faculty of Architecture-University of Lisbon. In the beginning, the research focused only on developing a methodology, which allowed companies in the agri-food sector to evaluate their capabilities and resources for design collaboration.
However in the course of the research, the influence that the sector has on society became more evident to me, in how food conditions the possibility of being healthy and contracting diseases (cardiovascular, oncological, diabetes, obesity, among others), and in the fact that with our daily choices, all of us as consumers can promote the production of healthier, fresh and proximity food, can preserve the biodiversity and the species and the impact that have on the quality of life, the environment and the economy.
Changing this situation depends on everyone. Depends on the entire value chain, from production to the consumer, it is therefore necessary to change behaviors, it is therefore necessary to change behaviors and capacitate to consumption habits and purchase more sustainable.
Design is a work process that implies identifying a need which is translates into in something new or in the update of a product. It is a work process that translate benefits into something that we can enjoy. In this sense, design can guide its collaboration to an approach that propose something that is done instead of something that is sold, designing solutions that offer to the people knowledge about food healthier habits and environmental care, such as reducing the consumption and reuse the waste.
