The objective of the project is to study the effect of climate change on aroma compounds, phenolic composition and sensory properties of grapes and the obtained wines. We offer our expertise in grapes and wine chemical and sensory analyses.
We would like to collaborate with groups that study plant physiology, agronomy as well as genetic of plants, as well as climate change effects on cultures and food products.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
The group of research "Oenology" of the University of Naples Federico II is composed by a full professor, two associate professors and one assistant professor, covering many aspects of grapes and wine research. In particular, our activity deals with the study of volatile compounds, polyphenolic compounds and sensory characteristics of grapes and wine, in relation to climate, agronomical practices, production technology and ageing condition.
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
The PRIMA programme is an Art.185 initiative supported and funded under Horizon 2020, the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
